My work focuses on inventing a new space which presses the narrative on structure and dimension in abstract art. It challenges our notions of how 2-D and 3-D shapes should interact in a space.
As a Haitian-American artists, my paintings usually evoke the charm and vibrancy of Carribbean pastorals alongside the urgency and layered energy of urban landscapes.
I also explore with the idea of painting without too much conscious intention, allowing chance to take over. I find this technique challenging and exciting.
